What London SAM is

London SAM is an independent British editorial publication about gelato. It is designed for three overlapping kinds of reader: people who care about ingredient transparency and balanced enjoyment; people navigating dietary restrictions and allergen questions; and culinary explorers who want to understand flavour and technique rather than simply collect rankings.

The site does not claim to be a gelateria, restaurant, manufacturer or booking service. No physical address, staff biography, company-registration number, award history or commercial venue information is invented. Where business-specific information is not available, we leave it out rather than dressing an editorial project in fictional operational detail.

What we cover

Our core subjects are frozen-dessert technique, ingredient literacy, flavour tasting, plant-based and dairy-free formulation, lactose terminology, gluten and allergen questions, seasonality, home storage and the practical culture of exploring gelato in London. Articles are built around distinct reader questions so the library develops topical depth without publishing near-duplicate pages.

What we do not do
