LondonSAM has high-quality computer training tools for students wishing to learn how to Build, Maintain and Repair a computer at their own pace, whether in the home or office environment. As well as tutor-led PC basic hardware training and repair products for schools, companies and correctional and vocational training facilities.

In the last year or so, the basic computer hardware training courses have been upgraded to satisfy a growing demand for easy to use, basic hardware courses suitable for training novices from grade 8 and up, in the basics of PC hardware maintenance, repair and software installation.

We adopt a research-led approach to our teaching whereby courses are continuously upgraded to reflect recent developments in the subject; students also get the chance to work with research teams on project work.

Our courses are shaped by our research strengths with emphasis on key research areas such as communications and distributed systems, software systems engineering and HCI. We emphasise the fundamental principles underpinning contemporary computer systems.

School of Health & Science

LondonSAM School of carestudies mainly concentrates on the award NVQ Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4. Our courses are designed to be applicable to staff who deliver physical, emotional, or enabling care to clients, whether they work in health or social care, in the public, private or voluntary sectors. The courses are designed to be applicable wherever such care is delivered including hospitals, the client's own home, clinics, residential homes, nursing homes, day centres, and group homes.

The course is about the delivery of health and social care to clients.

The course includes both direct care, where the focus is on hands-on care (doing things for clients), and enablement care where the focus is on the development and maintenance of the client's independence (supporting and enabling clients to do things for themselves).

The course is structured such that a candidate will achieve four mandatory units plus five optional units.

The learning materials are specially designed for learners to work through on their own with the help of a tutor/assessor who will assist them in their studies.

Learners work through the support materials and complete activities and assessment for each unit. The tutor/assessor will also observer learners carrying out practical tasks during normal working hours in order that the requirements of each unit can be met.
