| Graduate Advanced Diploma in Business Management |
| The Graduate Advanced Diploma in Business Management is a 24-month course designed for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Business Management. This course will provide you with the skills to manage organisations, manage business process, manage effective communication and planning strategies, manage people, manage business problems and support business processes. You will also gain a sound knowledge of business areas such as operation and business resource management and you wil learn how to implement and use some of the latest business practices. |
| Learning outcome |
The learning outcome of the course is to equip the candidates for a career in any of the main areas of business, where you will be able to put your business skills into practice. Your graduate destination is likely to be within a business area such as management, marketing or human resources. |
| Profile of candidate |
| The course is designed for individuals who wish to build on their existing management skills whilst being introduced to a range of business communication, organisational behaviour, strategic planning, marketing communications, business environment and management skills which will equip them with relevant skills and knowledge to manage in real world situation. |
| Programme objectives |
| This Graduate Advanced Diploma is both relevant and sought after in the present management and business co-operate based society. Employers favour our graduates because they are able to dissect complex ideas through a logical approach to analysing and solving problems as well as being familiar with current business operations. |

| Course duration |
The full-time version of the programme comprises 2 years of full-time study. At our School there are currently two intakes for the full-time version of the programme each year. The first semester begins in mid June. The second commences in mid January.
Each stage comprises 15 weeks of full-time study. In the certificate and diploma stages 12 weeks are reserved for instruction, self-study, and in-course assessments. Also, in each of these stages a further 3 weeks are reserved for self-study and in-course assignments.
All courses are structured to ensure that students are in the best position to pass their examinations. Classes consist of formal lectures together with practice in attempting past examination questions.
Upon completion of the relevant Diploma, students can gain advanced entry into various universities in the UK. For more information on the above programmes and on the School write to: |

| Assessment fees |
There will be an assessment fee of £30 per paper chargeable during the semester exam/assignment submission. If there is a delay or late in paying the assessment fee then please note that this will incur an additional fee of £10 plus the assessment fee of £30 per module/assessment; however, there will be a grace period of maximum 2 weeks for late payment. The deadline for fee payable will be informed to the students in the induction or in the class room. There will be a separate form must be filled in.
The late fee will be payable except under extenuating circumstances; however, proof and written confirmation must be provided and the final decision will be made by the academic panel. |

| Entry requirement |
| Successful completion of all papers in GADBM. Provide proof of competence in English acceptable to the University. For this purpose, it may be necessary for you to have passed a recognised test of proficiency, at the appropriate level, within the last five years. |
| Course Overview |
This course is a top-up degree for holders of a HND in a business related subject or an equivalent qualification. The award aims to develop your understanding and skills to degree level. Emphasis is on the development of business management skills in both group and individual situations. The core modules are designed to achieve an all round understanding of business issues and to develop students’ problem solving skills. Developing students’ ability to achieve satisfactory outcomes, through effective strategic and risk management is also a key part of the course. |

| What you do |
Students taking the BA(Hons) Business Management top-up award, follow a similar structure to students on the final year of the three-year BA(Hons) Business Management award which emphasises strategic and risk management, the management of change and contemporary management issues.
You will develop your analytical abilities and strategic decision-making skills, as well as improving your business knowledge and management skills and developing your own business interests. |
